Powerwashing is done with heated water at 3600 pounds per square
inch of pressure and can be used to clean a variety of surfaces found outdoors,
including: vinyl and aluminum siding; awnings; unpainted, stained or natural
wood; brick; and cement driveways, patios, garage floors, and walls.
Vinyl and aluminum siding may be powerwashed to remove ground-in
dirt as well as mold and mildew.
Unpainted, stained or natural wood, such as decks, fences, and
gazebos respond well to powerwashing. Even dried-out or rotted wood can even
be effectively powerwashed if the technician lowers his pressure, or keeps
more of a distance from the wood. After cleaning, all wood should be re-sealed
with water proofing and/or ultra-violet protector application and/or restained.
The Bright Side can either spray the sealant or brush it on. We will also
restain the wood if the customer provides the stain they choose. Powerwashing
on painted wood will cut down on prep time and save money if the wood is to
be repainted.
Brick exposed to a single fire or spraypaint or covered with
green mildew can also be powerwashed.
Cement driveways, patios, garage floors, and walls, can
be powerwashed. In most instances, oil and rust can be removed from cement
through additional treatments combined with powerwashing.
